LOOK INSIDE

In this handbook of inspiration, Fr. Thomas Santa, CSsR provides reflections and prayers to help fill some of the spiritual needs of those who suffer with the affliction of scrupulosity. While each person is different, there are some shared experiences and feelings common to the affliction, some of which can create obstacles to prayer. By identifying these obstacles and presenting new perspectives, the author hopes to provide encouragement when and where it’s most needed.

This work is also meant to offer guidance to those who, when it comes to prayer, simply, do not know what to say or do. Sometimes all that’s needed is a prayer starter—a thought, a word, an experience. It is hoped that you will find that starter within these pages.

Thomas M. Santa, CSsR, the priest director of the Scrupulous Anonymous newsletter, has ministered to people with scrupulosity for more than twenty years. He is an associate faculty member and former director of the Redemptorist Renewal Center in Tucson, Arizona. He has also served as pastor of St. Michael Parish in Old Town, Chicago, and as President/Publisher of Liguori Publications.
Fr. Santa is the author of many books, pamphlets, and newsletters, including Understanding Scrupulosity and The Essential Bible Handbook. He offers retreats for people with scrupulosity and workshops on scrupulosity for pastoral ministers and professional therapists.
