Over fifty years after the promulgation of Sacrosanctum Concilium, where the fathers of the Second Vatican Council first expressed that “the treasures of the Bible” should be “opened up more lavishly” for all the faithful, many Catholics still desire greater familiarity with the Word of God. With this in mind, LTP has invited Scripture scholars to reflect on how liturgy and the Bible illuminate one other, sharing their insights in lively and accessible language. The books in this series will lead readers to appreciate the dynamic role of Scripture in the liturgy, and through liturgy, in their lives. The series will be especially helpful for liturgical ministers, but is intended for anyone desiring a greater knowledge or understanding of Scripture.

This new series aims to entice and equip all Catholics to greater love and knowledge of the Bible. Deeper understanding and warmer familiarity will help all the faithful to participate more fully in the liturgy, so that all may hear God’s Word more clearly, experience the sacraments more deeply, and serve the world more joyfully.
