Memorial Mass for Daniel O'Leary

Many Australians were both shocked and saddened at the passing of beloved Irish Author, and regular visitor to our shores, Fr Daniel O'Leary, who died on January 21, 2019 in Liverpool UK.

A Memorial Mass will be held in Sydney at St Francis Xavier Church, 17 Mackenzie St, Lavender Bay on February 6 at 10.30am.

This will allow many of Daniel’s Australian friends and fans to commemorate his life. All are welcome!

This mass will be streamed online, allowing those of you who unable to attend in person to participate and celebrate Daniel's life, and reflect on the gifts he leaves behind in a small way.

The Mass will be broadcast via Mass on Demand/Mass for You at www.cathnews.com.au.

Say’s long-time friend Monsignor Tony Doherty:
‘For me Daniel O’Leary has been a powerful yet lyrical voice in our struggling, bruised church who never failed to lift my spirit. This Irish- born priest of the Leeds diocese was a prolific writer, conference speaker, retreat-giver, author of countless articles - but above all he was a life giver who changed the faith direction of many a confused believer.

I do hope you can join us to commemorate the life of a truly exceptional man. Regardless I ask that you keep Daniel, and his family Maura and Michael in your prayers.

Those details again:
